The long-anticipated "sewer invasion" episode of Tokyo Eye has finally made it online! Watch as we plunge deep beneath Tokyo's surface into the gaping tunnels of the sewer system, battle tardigrades, and come perilously close to plunging off the poopdeck.
This also marks a watershed moment as NHK decided to dub rather than subtitle all Japanese speech (including my own), giving parts of this episode the rich feel of a Shaw Brothers chop-socky. It also marks the first time I get to walk out of the john on camera.
You also didn't flush, you disgusting troll! Also, that foggy miasma you speak of is probably funk. You were inhaling funk. :-)
Very interesting segment! I'll have to watch more of those episodes; I've been missing out...

Gah, meant to say 'you didn't wash your hands'...

Good show, Matt! While I wasn't exactly flushed with excitement to get the poop on the Tokyo sewer system, the segment didn't tank. On the contrary, you made quite the splash. I was bowled over - what a gas! It must've been somewhat trying, in lieu of a more typical subject, but you went with the flow. I'll bet you were wiped afterwards, though -now you can put it all behind you. Still, I hope you don't let these Tokyo Eye appearances go to your head ...

"You can even get a little in your mouth and it won't even hurt you."
Mmmm....tasty to the lip. Next time I'm there, I need to put some effort into working thos pipes.
I've always been amazed at the recycling capabilities of the the Japanese. REALLY puts us to shame. I guess the thinking is that since we've got all this room, we haven't seen it as necessary.

I cracked up at "Water - it's an essential part of our daily lives."
Also, I wanted to see you drink that recycled stuff like a real man.
Did you see the news item about loaches coming out of the taps in Wakayama?

This is your "Citizen Kane", Matt - well done!
Is Peppler's dialog being overdubbed by someone else? By himself? Or has he just mastered the art of throwing his voice a few seconds behind the movement of his actual mouth?
