Someone's posted the latest episode of Tokyo Eye online, featuring.... me! Watch as I suit up Steve Irwin style, head into the wilds of suburban Tokyo with a couple of bug-crazed kids, and learn how to catch monster stag beetles in the forests of Japan. Mushi king!
Has this been sitting in the can since '95 or something? You look at least 10 years younger!

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I think it is that Matt has discovered the fountain of youth in Japan. Every six months he loses a year. Soon he will be appearing in short pants.
Kudos for another fun appearance on Tokyo Eye, Matt!

Nice to see you again on NHK!
I never bothered to look up what "kuwagata-mushi" were called in English, so you always learn something new I guess! :-D

Shake a tree...get a bug. I like it.

Insect-like motifs influenced the design of traditional samurai gear, which in turn formed the basis for the design of anime robots like Zanbot and Gundam. Bug power....
