Forget Nostradamus. This 1988 issue of Hobby Japan lays out how it's going to be.
Don't sweat it, though. The future won't be all bad. Come "B.C. 2020," you'll be able to hang out with babes like this.

It's true, replicants are insecure. Just ask one about its mother and it'll go ape shit.

And their pets...oh, don't even go there about their pets...like, turtles and stuff...
Over at Detroit, we're still waiting for that Super Police Man to show up, or some megacorp to just buy the damn place...PLLEEAASSEE.

Way cool. I love vintage hobby magazines.
I've got a copy of Hobby Japan from 1988 too:

Nice! I wish there were an online archive of those things. The pages of old HJs are like time capsules, even when they don't feature bikin-clad cyborgs.

SMH did a series of original vignettes called "Post Bla-Run Syndrome", one of them was a great custom Sil-like character sitting in an alley, all shot up, with a great little type quote: "We all go a little mad once in awhile. Haven't you?"
I'd dig it out but, you know... laziness.

"Post Bla-Run Syndrome"? Is that the Japanese equivalent of Montezuma's Revenge?
