Web news services are reporting that Japanese space tourist Daisuke Enomoto's cosplay gear has arrived at the International Space Station courtesy an automated transport shuttle launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Enomoto is scheduled to follow aboard a Soyuz rocket in September, a privilege that cost him $20 million. For those who haven't been following the news, Enomoto plans to dress as Gundam baddie Char Aznable and build Gundam model kits for the duration of his stay. One can only hope he looks as good as this guy.
For their part, the Russians have announced that they're worried the bright red outfit could trigger "color fatigue and irritation" in the other three crewmembers, but whether this means they'll lock Enomoto and his precious Gunpla outside the pod bay doors remains to be seen.
Update: Dice-K didn't make the Newtype cut!
