Spring has sprung in Tokyo. Cloudless skies. 19 degrees C (that's 68 for you Imperalists.) And the birds were delicious -- uh, I mean, fun to watch.
Baby grebe and mom (?) in the reeds just offshore of Inokashira pond.
Karasu taking a bath in the headwaters of the Kanda river -- the spring at the west end of the pond.
Did you hear the one about the insomniac night heron who took baths during the day?

Good shots. Interesting wildlife in that area, I have to see more of it the next time I'm in town. When I first was there the large spiders along the shore impressed me.

I think I'd like to see Inokashira Park when it's NOT dark and I'm NOT drunk. ;)

The park is undergoing serious rehabilitation efforts, and native wildlife is finally returning to the area. Here's a piece Hiroko and I did on it -- don't forget to click the photo gallery!
