This is the coolest fucking thing ever! Thanks for sharing.

Steve Harrison

I believe DID (Dragon in Dream) is a Chinese company, a rebranding when something funky went on with the Dragon name.

I don't doubt they have a Japanese branch simply because the 1/6 scale figure world is still a happening thing there whereas it's become somewhat dead due to Hasbro killing all 1/6 scale GI Joe products and the surviving niche companies are constantly raising the price of their goods, causing people to bail from the hobby.

Good to see Obama is old school, what with the Famicon sitting there...

Good catch Steve! Fixed.

Obama in Kotatsu, nice combination!
I thought it was Nocchi, though...
And why they put Fami-con aside...?

I got to get that one!!!

Steve Harrison

Ohh, I'm just anal about that stuff, I'm not trying to bust any balls or anything.

Dragon (or DID now) has cranked out some amazing stuff, but it's insanely priced, and I think it's intentional raping of the market.

I also suspect that Hot Toys/Blister Direct is owned by the parent company that owns Dragon/DID...what am I saying, of COURSE they are, it's owned by Communist China! :)

Looks like the links to samurai obama are dead. Darn!

According to the gamu toy page, the feature was temporarily removed it due to the massive number of people who were directly linking to the photos. It may go up again sometime in the near future once things cool off. In the meantime, BoingBoing saved a bunch of the images:

I suspect that DID is named "DID" because there already was a Hong Kong-based company called Dragon making models and action figures...

I guess a lot of fans would attend the next Otaku Fest in Barack Obama cosplay. See ya there!

Bigfoot toy
