Jumbolicious
These horrible, blurry, Bigfoot-sighting-esque snapshots captured by my dying camera during set-up this morning do absolutely no justice to the splendor of the display cases the Kennedy Center prepared for my Jumbo Machinder collection. The Japan: Culture + Hyperculture exhibition is now officially open to the public and the Robotopia exhibits are free, free, free, so drop on by. And don't forget the Robots in Japanese Science Fiction panel discussion I'm mediating at 3:00 this Saturday.

Hey Matt, I was at the Kennedy Center last night to see Shintoku-Maru, and had a chance to stop by the exhibit (they seemed to still be setting up the gift shop and training the employees!)Anyway, I have to say your collection is most impressive. Btw, where the heck do you normally keep all these? There's no way this collection would fit inside a Tokyo apartment!

Hey Matt -
Thanks so much for making me aware of this event. We're planning on making our way there on Saturday. We've never been to the Kennedy Center, and I'm excited to take in all the events.

Glad you can make it -- I'll be alternating between the display and the Milllenium stage most of the afternoon.
You're right -- there isn't much room for them in Tokyo. I normally store them in a custom-built containment facility deep within the Amazon rainforest, protected by poison arrow launchers and giant rolling boulders. It's the only way to be sure.

The six year old in me is grinning from ear to ear.
